Part of the fun, while at the same time the frustration, of self-learning CSS and HTML over the years is coming across something I wish I had been exposed to years ago in order to grasp a concept more easily. This is one of those moments.

Here is the deal, everything you need should have a place. That place is called “Where I need it”. If something does not have a place in your home, office, life, etc. then perhaps it has a home outside of those things. Perhaps it has a home away from you.

This is an amazing metaphor for all the shit in your life, not just what’s cluttering your desk.

The easy single-handed operation of the iPhone is not one of its obvious selling points but is one of those little features that grows on you and becomes nearly indispensable. A portable networked computing and gaming device that can be easily operated with one hand can be used in a surprising variety of situations.

Jason Kottke outlines one of the most important, yet overlooked, features of the iPhone. It’s so obvious that it had not really dawned on me before how important this is.

This is a little ridiculous. It’s a puff piece. You can substitute any phone in for the iPhone here. Eating dinner, carrying things, typing, activities that rhyme with “whacking off”? Did people really only ever use two hands to do all these things before the iPhone came along and magically showed them they can do things with one?

I love the iPhone and I read Kottke everyday. But this piece is a too much. To say that one-handed computing is unique to the iPhone or an indispensable selling point is one of the more obtuse observations I’ve heard yet.

Sproutworx.com is now iPhone optimized. What’s more, it takes advantage of the Full Screen Mode (scroll down the page a little), such that when you save it to your home screen and then open it by hitting the icon you’ll see the above image. If you simply type sproutworx.com into Safari on your phone, it’ll still have the browser wrap which occupies a good chunk of the scree

So, in other words, save the icon to your homescreen and now you’ll have my electronic business card…just like I intended.
